What are the different types of X-ray flat panel detectors available in the market?

There are several types of X-ray flat panel detectors available in the market:

  1. Indirect Conversion Detectors: These detectors use a scintillator material that absorbs X-ray photons and converts them into visible light. This light is then detected by an array of photodiodes or CCD sensors.
  2. Direct Conversion Detectors: These detectors directly convert X-ray photons into electrical charges using materials like amorphous selenium or high atomic number semiconductors. The generated charges are then readout by thin film transistor arrays.
  3. Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) Detectors: These detectors use a layer of amorphous silicon that converts X-ray photons into electrical charges. The charges are then readout by an array of thin film transistors.
  4. CMOS Detectors: Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) detectors are an emerging technology in X-ray imaging. CMOS detectors use an array of pixels with integrated readout electronics to capture X-ray images.
  5. Scintillator-Based Detectors: These detectors use various types of scintillator materials such as iodine, cesium iodide, or gadolinium oxysulfide to convert X-ray photons into visible light. The light is then detected by an electronic image sensor.

It is important to note that the availability of these flat panel detectors may vary in different regions and their technologies may continue to evolve as new advancements are made. Whatsapp:+86 18953679166. Email: service@newheek.com
