Indicators of digital detectors

The pixel structure of digital detector is generally divided into two types: – passive pixel PPS: the whole area of pixel is used to detect optical signal, and the pixel does not contain amplifier;- active pixel APS: each pixel contains a photodetector and amplifier.

As far as X-ray detector products on the market are concerned, TFT flat panel detector USES passive PPS, while CMOS flat panel detector USES both pixel structures.
