Common points and differences between flat panel detectors and image enhancement

Flat panel detectors and image intensifiers belong to radiology medical equipment, whose main function is to turn invisible light into visible light. So what is the difference between a flat panel detector and an image intensifier, and how should users choose it.
First of all, from the appearance point of view, the flat panel detector is small, light and easy to move. The image intensifier has a relatively large volume and weight.
From the perspective of usage scenarios, static flat-panel detectors are mainly used for filming machines, dynamic flat-panel detectors are used for fluoroscopy machines, and image intensifiers are mainly used for fluoroscopy machines.
From the configuration point of view, the flat panel detector mainly processes pictures through software, and images on the computer. The image intensifier needs to be equipped with a camera and an image processor.
In terms of cost, flat panel detectors are more expensive than image intensifiers.
With the digitization of medical equipment, flat-panel detector digital imaging systems have become more and more popular, and the use of image intensifiers has decreased, but there are still irreplaceable positions.
