What is the service life of a flat panel detector?

The flat-panel detector is the core component of the entire DR X-ray system, and it is also the most expensive component and plays a key role in image quality. In daily work, we must strictly follow the requirements of the maintenance manual provided by the manufacturer to perform regular maintenance on the detector; only by being familiar with its principles and characteristics and doing daily maintenance effectively can we extend its service life and ensure the acquisition of high-quality X-ray inspection images.
Under normal maintenance and upkeep, the service life of a flat-panel detector is about 5 years. After a certain number of years of use or a certain number of exposures, the flat-panel detector will suffer aging and damage, which is inevitable.
The high maintenance cost of FPD is mainly due to the high degree of integration of internal components, as well as the unstable physical properties of amorphous silicon oxide transistors, which decay quickly under light. Therefore, large areas of dead pixels appear every day. When the number of dead pixels reaches a certain amount, it cannot be repaired and the entire flat-panel detector needs to be replaced. We are a manufacturer of X-ray machines and their accessories.
