What is the role of DR in image conversion

The imaging mode of the X-ray machine can be classified into direct conversion mode (Direct Convert) and indirect conversion mode (Indirect Covert) according to the conversion mode. The X-ray photons are directly converted into electrical signals after X-ray exposure of the device used in the direct conversion mode. Indirect conversion devices first convert X-ray photons into visible light, which is then converted to visible light. The two conversion methods use a flat panel detector (Flat Pannel Detector, FPD for short), and other devices and structures. Of course, the FPD structure used in the two methods is different.
